We all know how difficult it can be researching information to build a model. We also know how rewarding it is too. Our aim here is to produce a list of organisations which may be of interest to the 4mm modeller.

If you would like to suggest additional organisations and/or amendments to an entry please do let us know. We are keen to keep this list as up to date as possible and are grateful for your help.

We have split this section into the following classifications:

Historic Railway Associations / Study Groups
Groups or organisations who have an express historic interest in a specific railway.

Museum, Galleries & Exhibitions

Listings in this section include museums, exhibition etc which contain items of interest to railway enthusiasts.

Industrial archaeology and conservation organisations
A tremendous amount of information can be found in the Journals and newsletters of these bodies. Just the place to find elusive photographs and operating details.

Specialist Model Railway Societies
This section includes societies catering for specific groups of modellers.

Miscellaneous sites
Included here are additional sites which might be of interest to modellers.
