Fencing and gates are supplied as frets and are made from nickel silver. A pack is generally sufficient for around 35 scale feet of fencing or 6 gates.We can supply bulk packs on request. Please contact us.

Many components from the wide range of 51L wagons, vans and carriages are available separately in discrete packs. Items common to several railway copanies such as brake levers, w-irons etc can be found under 'Common components' at the end of this list. A pack is generally sufficient for one or two wagons or a single carriage. We can supply bulk packs on request. Please contact us.

Components are usually in white metal but brass investment castings and etchings are also used where suitable.

Railway rolling stock was designed for many years of active use and it was not uncommon for wagons to last 40 years. Inevitably over this period axleboxes, buffers and brakegear was repaired, modified or replaced. A wagon towards the end of its life could have very different components to that when built.
