51L is able to supply a wide of components to complete your carriage and wagon fleet. Many parts are ideal to replace those found on plastic wagons.


| Axleboxes |

Ellis Grease axle box without spring. Grease axleboxes were used on Midland wagon stock from the earliest days. White metal casting supplied in packets of 12. |

Oil axle box without spring. Open fronted axleboxes were used on a variety of later Midland wagons. White metal casting supplied in packets of 12. |

7' length oil axle box with spring and short 'J' hanger. Used on Clayton 6 wheel carriages and non passenger coaching stock such as Fruit and Milk, Motor car wagon etc. White metal casting supplied in packets of 12. |

7' length oil axle box with spring and long 'J' hanger. Used on early Clayton 6 wheel carriages but replaced with the short 'J' hanger type. White metal casting supplied in packets of 12. |

| Buffers |
|
The Midland used a four bolt buffer for wagons and some non passenger coaching stock such as horse boxes, fruit and milk vans etc. This is the short length earlier pattern without ribs use on a variety of goods stock. White metal buffer with steel head , set of four. |

| Brake levers and guides |
|
Etched brake levers and guides suitable for 9-10' wheel base wagons with standard MR long lever. Suitable for single side, 'levers same end' and Morton cam brakes gear. Sufficient for five wagons. |

| Carriage roof |
|
Oil lamps and an attendant rests were fitted to all early carriages. From around 1908 gas lighting replaced oil lighting but the rest often remained unless the roof felting was replaced. White metal supplied in packs of 10 lamps and 10 rests. |

Torpedo vents were fitted above carriage toilet compartments and from 1908 to all carriage compartments either side of the gas lamp. Suitable for Clayton 6 wheel and bogie arc roof carriages. Cast brass supplied in packs of 20. |
