The Inter corridor sets provided a general carriage service outside the Manchester & Birmingham areas, which were served by the General Service non corridor lavatory and suburban stock.

Dgm 131: 57'0 corridor composite, 105 built between 1913 & 1920.
These were dual braked (ie both Westinghouse and vacuum brakes) and were often marshaled into the Inter Corridor sets. (Corridor composites flanked by a brake third making a four carriage set.) By the late 1950's these vehicles were showing their age with many having the first class accommodation downgraded to third. A number were also used as caming coaches. The D131 was eventually withdrawn from service in the mid 1950's.
Dgm 135: 52'6" corridor composite, 105 built between 1913 & 1920.
They were eventually withdrawn from service in the mid 1950's.
Dgm 267: 50' corridor third carriage, two batches built 1910-1913.
The later batch is the subject of this model. Found all over the system these carriages had long lives with final withdrawal by 1960 although some carriages survived as camping coaches. Several examples were exported to Ireland during the thirties.
Dgm 307: 57'0 corridor brake third carriage, 88 built in 1913.
Like the Diagram 131 these featured dual fitted brake systems so that these carriages would be seen on the Caledonian and other Westinghouse lines over which the LNWR had running rights.
Dgm 308: 57'0 corridor brake third, 25 built in 1907.
These are believed to have been the first LNW carriages built with a high roof profile which is characteristic of these and later carriages. These carriages were not dual fitted.
Dgm 309: 57'0"corridor brake third, 30 built in 1909.
16 of these carriages were taken for military service in hospital train carriages, 10 of which never returned from France. All the remainder survived up to the mid 1950's when they were scrapped in favour of the newly developed BR standard coaches.

Normally these carriages were formed into a rake of 4 vehicles although many of the corridor brake thirds were often seen as loose carriages providing LNW services to the more distant cities outside the LNWR area. The rakes were made up out of the available stock at the time of marshaling and the precise composition of a rake depended on what was available at the time of formation, either from new build or return from refurbishment. However, as was common across the LNWR network, they were invariably made up of 4 carriages; comprising 2 corridor composites flanked by corridor brake third carriages. Unlike the Manchester & Birmingham sets there was no specific schedule that comprised an inter corridor set. It was not uncommon to find the third brakes to be of different diagram number!
