Included are details for all the liveries likely to have been used on London and North Western carriages during their life time. London and North Western Railway to 1923
Wagon body and iron work dark chocolate, roofs white when new quickly degenerating to a grey colour, iron work beneath the solebar black. Lining in yellow chrome.

London Midland and Scottish 1923 to 1948
Passenger coaching stock was painted in the standard crimson lake livery and fully lined out. Roofs were grey.

British Railways from 1948
Non corridor carriages were ainted in BR standard Maroon and corridor stock in crimson and cream (blood and custard).
