British Railways from 1948
Unfitted wagons were painted grey, solebars often black, lettering white on a black
patch. No body iron work was painted black. Fitted stock was painted bauxite with solebars
often black, roofs dark grey; white lettering. Body iron work is not painted black for any vehicle.
