We have included details for all the liveries likely to have been used on British Railways wagons during their life time. British Railways from 1948
Unfitted wagons were painted grey, solebars often black, lettering white on a black patch. No body iron work was painted black. Fitted stock was painted bauxite with solebars often black, roofs dark grey; white lettering. Body iron work is not painted black for any vehicle.
