Clayton 6 wheel carriages

Although originally designed by the Midland for their own domestic use and on the Scottish Joint Stock passenger services, the Brecon & Merthyr bought many examples at the end of their Midland service life. In 1923 they became part of the GWR carriage stock. . As most were scrapped in 1928, we suspect that not many were repainted in the GWR livery if indeed any.

Clayton arc roof bogie carriages
Although originally designed by the Midland for their own use, some of the Dgm 490 & 502 carriages were purchased by the Midland & South Western Junction Railway at the end of their Midland service life.
